What is E-coating?
E-coating, also known as Electrocoating, Electropainting, or Electrophoretic lacquering, is a high-tech process that applies an anti-corrosive coating over a variety of metal substrates, such as CRS, Galvanize, Aluminum. The e-coat process uses electrical current to deposit paint on metal substrates. The ability to apply an even coating on the most complex part of specific performance requirements is what makes e-coating attractive to the automotive industry.
Vision Coaters Canada Ltd. uses PPG’s Powercron CF590-534 organic coating, which is free of lead and hexavalent chromium, on both e-coat lines.
